Summary Description of Position:
The Powder Coat Team Leader is reponsible for satisfying our customers by leading the powder painting team through accountability and continuous improvement ideas. This person will have the the necessary skills to become a well respected leader at a growing, progressive company.

The Powder Coat Team Leader will be responsible for the following:
Maintaining optimal efficiency of the powder painting process, by understanding key process drivers.
Provides technical support for the paint room equipment to Powder Coat Manager and powder coaters.
Overseeing the powder coating process and maintaining effective production in the daily pursuit of 100% 1st pass quality.
Problem solving (review data, perform root cause analysis) and resolve issues affecting powder coating quality or on-time delivery issues.
Identify and pursue opportunities to improve production by reducing cost, reducing energy usage and improving quality and efficiencies.

Requirements for this position include the following:
Strong communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) with a passion to teach and grow the Powder Coating team and the company.
Ability to adapt and change to accommodate changing business needs.
Ability to multi-task and make decisions.
Experience in developing team�s initiatives and self direction.
Ability to promote accountability, growth, and knowledge among reporting team members is critical.
Minimum of an associate�s degree in operations, 2-3 years� supervisory experience, industrial and/or manufacturing engineering or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
Prior powder painting experience preferred or related knowledge of industrial powder coating.
Knowledge of powder coating systems, delivery systems and quality control monitoring systems related to powder coating
