Summary Description of Position:
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for repairing, preventative maintenance, installation, fabrication and troubleshooting our processes, and ensure that all finishing processes meet or exceed customer expectations. This position is second shift, Monday through Friday.
Perform equipment repairs to achieve no unscheduled downtime.
Perform preventative maintenance to achieve no unscheduled downtime.
Assist Team Leaders in machine set up, line improvements, and equipment design to improve production, efficiency and safety of processes.
Follow and encourage appropriate safety procedures so as to keep work-related accident/injury/illness costs at or below budgeted limits.
Maintain building and property as directed to meet company standards.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment so as to keep work-related accident/injury/illness costs at or below budgeted limits.
Demonstrated understanding of electrical concepts.
Demonstrated knowledge of advanced fabrication and welding.
Basic understanding of plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical schematics.
Previous building repair and maintenance experience.
Previous machine repair experience or equivalent education.
Previous experience in troubleshooting equipment or equivalent education.
Ability to furnish basic hand tools.
